    TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN VIROLOGY

The Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology & Immunology at Wayne State University School of Medicine is searching for an outstanding virologist for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree with postdoctoral research experience. Prior or current success in receiving external grant funding is strongly preferred. Although all qualified candidates in the field of virology will be considered, the search is targeting researchers studying fundamental and/or applied problems in human viral pathogenesis and disease.  Candidates will be expected to establish a high-impact, extramurally funded research program and to contribute to graduate and medical virology teaching. The appointee will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary biomedical sciences research community that spans the School of Medicine and the wider campus.

A competitive salary and start-up package and ample laboratory space will be provided.
